D.I.Y. aesthetics in graphic design. Artis-rus spaces and their graphic identity. 4. Non-verbal communication in public space. What can graphic design do in a public environment? Information design. 5. Finding the outline of contemporary graphic design. 6. Technological aspects of graphic design. 7. Generative design. 8. Design in motion - motion graphic, motion design. 9. Exercises / student presentations. 10. The role of graphic designer - ethics, sustainability ... 11. Manifesto in design practice. 12.-13. Exercises / student presentations.

Graphic design surrounds us in public space at every step. The course will focus on current trends in graphic design, both in real and virtual environments. The course Graphic Design in Public Space I is focused to define the terminology and theoretical basis for public space and the role of graphic design and visual art in it. The concept of the subject connects theory and practice with workshop activities. It introduces students to selected phenomena, presents theoretical reflection and ideas and principles of critical practice.
The gained capabilities constitute an encompassment and an aquirement of knowledge and experience in the given field of study, they result from a concrete annotation of the subject and are aimed at a profile´s fulfilment of the graduate of the given field of study. |
