Course content
1. Introduction, acquaintance with the topic of teaching the creation of residential interiors, design and architecture, individual topics, excursions, lectures and exercises. 2.-3. Geographical, historical, social, psychological context of human habitation. 4.-5. Sociology of housing, theory of cultural patterns, theory of personal territory, etc. 6.-7. Basics of ergonomics, anthropometry and their application in furniture design. 8. Operation and safety in the space, the basics of rational operation in the apartment, control according to ongoing activities in the apartment. 9.-10. Furnishing and furnishing, ways of furnishing selected parts of the apartment, furnishing items, types of furniture, functions of individual furniture items. 11.-12. Ergonomic and operational requirements for furnishing individual furniture groups, ongoing activities, rooms, spaces and zones. 13. Summary, test

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the basics of housing culture, its placement in historical and social contexts, theories of cultural patterns, etc. They will learn about basic ergonomic requirements for individual furniture items, operating principles of interior design, will also be acquainted with the basics of interior assembly, theory colors for people and in the interior, etc. Lectures are accompanied by rich visual documentation.
The gained capabilities constitute an encompassment and an aquirement of knowledge and experience in the given field of study, they result from a concrete annotation of the subject and are aimed at a profile´s fulfilment of the graduate of the given field of study.
