Between decoration and architecture A series of lectures and tutorials dealing with design as a tool of total interior and architecture. We will present this symbiosis of architecture and design through interiors designed by little-known representatives of modernism in the second half of the last century. The course focuses on detailed mapping the alternative history of design and applied art, which did not take place on mass production manufacture lines, but in the background of architectural projects. Architects and interior designers in this case designed unique solutions as part of a comprehensive artistic expression. Furniture, lamps, doors, railings, windows, fireplaces, elevators, radiators, carpets, curtains, handrails, doorhandles and more are a unique testimony of the era in such architectural "Gesamtkunstwerke", and in spite of that, they often remain hidden within walls of buildings. The cycle of 24 lectures maps some of the significant examples of this phenomenon, which took place between 1900-1990.
The gained capabilities constitute an encompassment and an aquirement of knowledge and experience in the given field of study, they result from a concrete annotation of the subject and are aimed at a profile´s fulfilment of the graduate of the given field of study.
