Course content
1. Postmodernism and photography. 2. Post-conceptual art - from installation through video art to photography. 3. The used role of photography in overlaps with fashion and graphic design both in the postmodern period and in current post-internet art. 4. Interactive art. Internet art - net art and post-internet. 5. Visual culture studies. Development of the discipline in the 1990s. 6. Visual culture studies after 2000. How to See the World by Nicholas Mirzoeff. 7. Photography and social media. Technological development of digital technologies and visual art. 8. Current trends since the 1990s in world art, such as concepts - non-photography and post-photography. 9. Current trends since the 1990s in Czech art, such as concepts - non-photography and post-photography. 10. Devaluation of photography on the background of accelerationism. The role of photography in the time of Instagram and the visual Generation Z. 11. Current development of video art and digital media.

Learning outcomes
A cycle of lectures on development of world and Czech photography, including their theoretical reflection in the period since the 1980s. Further to Theory and history of photography V, the course studies the link between photography and contemporary visual art. At the same time, it deals with the role of applied photography in overlaps into fashion or graphic design. The course deals with the changes photography went through with the onset of postmodernism. It explains current trends from the 1990s to the present, such as concepts - non-photography, post-photography, post-internet. It acquaints students with utilizing new technologies, digital recordings, computer image manipulation against the background of development of visual studies
The gained capabilities constitute an encompassment and an aquirement of knowledge and experience in the given field of study, they result from a concrete annotation of the subject and are aimed at a profile´s fulfilment of the graduate of the given field of study.
