Learning outcomes
The course Presentation of Dissertation Proposals takes place at the end of the summer semester of the third year of study. By March 30, the doctoral student shall submit the following materials to the doctoral studies secretary: 1. An overview of the current state of the dissertation thesis, approximately 8 standard pages in length, including: - definition of the research question, - research field, - main theses, - methodological framework of the research and research methods used, - structure of the dissertation, - connection between the theoretical and practical parts of the dissertation, - scholarly literature. 2. A proposal of 2 topics for the Presentation of Dissertation Thesis Propositions, from which the Departmental Board will select one to be further developed into a 15-minute presentation. These topics must be based on specific, key, and well-developed chapters of the dissertation. The Departmental Board will subsequently select a reviewer for the overview of the current state of the dissertation and choose one of the submitted topics. The doctoral student will be informed of the reviewer?s report and the selected topic well in advance ? at least 2 weeks before the presentation in front of a committee appointed by the Departmental Board. The date of the presentation is part of the FUD academic year schedule.
