Learning outcomes
The course theoretically clarifies the interface between the fields of art and design, where the key terms are the intentionality of the creator, the level of interpretation and the discourse of the given field. This interface is related to the role of the context, the being of the subject "in a role", i.e. in a certain function. The course introduces the topics of critical and speculative design in relation to both creators and users of design. Provides an interpretation of symbol and metaphor that will help distinguish the functions of design and art in this subject. The themes alternate the point of view of the designer and the artist. Related topics are the areas of tradition and folklore and their possible citations. The selected chapter is also the area of sound and acoustic space, where the technological and symbolic use of selected means is distinguished. Students present their own topics from the perspective of both disciplines, where the goal is to clarify and share the language of the field.
The gained capabilities constitute an encompassment and an aquirement of knowledge and experience in the given field of study, they result from a concrete annotation of the subject and are aimed at a profile´s fulfilment of the graduate of the given field of study.
