Learning outcomes
Basics of creative and designer work with wood for students of the Design programme with specialization in Design The aim of the course is to acquaint students with wood as a material and especially with technologies to process it, as well as with possibilities of its use by means of practical exercises accompanied by a theoretical explanation. After completing the course, the student should be able to independently master basic technological procedures in work with wood to utilize the acquired knowledge and experience in their creative designer practice. Teaching has a form of practical exercises in workshops, during which students will experience basic technological procedures from cutting material, through joining it, to surface treatment. Practical teaching is supplemented by an expansion theoretical interpretation.
The gained capabilities constitute an encompassment and an aquirement of knowledge and experience in the given field of study, they result from a concrete annotation of the subject and are aimed at a profile´s fulfilment of the graduate of the given field of study.
