Design drawing is a course which aim is, based on knowledge of perspective and descriptive, to teach students real drawing in perspective, and help them in creating their own designs and sketches. The course divides into two basic parts. In the first part, students get acquainted with descriptive and perspective at the general theoretical level. In the second part, they apply this knowledge in practice in design drawing. Students practice it in individual classes and improve in it. Teaching takes place in two semesters. Design drawing II takes up the previous course. Students now apply the knowledge from the previous semester into practice. They start from sketches of basic geometric bodies and end with complex spatial arrangements. They learn to work with grids and shadows, they work with text in perspective. In the classes, they gradually get acquainted with the given matters, which they then practice in real as part of the assigned tasks. Individual exercises are in a mutual context and push students forward. Students not only learn how to draw correctly in perspective, but also how to use various tools and techniques. Teaching has a format of sequential exercises, beginning with an expert explanation of the matters discussed and the acquired skills are subsequently applied to the assigned task to practice the given problem.
The gained capabilities constitute an encompassment and an aquirement of knowledge and experience in the given field of study, they result from a concrete annotation of the subject and are aimed at a profile´s fulfilment of the graduate of the given field of study.
