The subject will be split in the following areas: 1. Principles of the basic chemical processes 2. Basic commodities - importance of chemical industry for the daily life 3. The structure of the Czech chem. industry - main raw materials 4. Crude oil as a key raw material of the chemical industry 5. Basic petrochemicals - olefins, aromates 6. Production of the main monomers 7. Production of the main polymers 8. Production of hydrogen and synthetic gases - applications and use 9. Basic inorganic technologies 10. Special products (pigments, detergents, explosives etc.) 11. Water, water treatment, technical gases
