Course content
It will be focused on traditional and less traditional methods and concrete techniques which are used in quantitative and qualitative empiric researches of pedagogical phenomena. For example: observation, scaling, questionnaire methods, interview, experiment, content textual analysis, Q-methodology, semantic element etc. Bases for statistical processing of research data using descriptive and inductive methods of a statistical analysis will also be dealt.

Learning outcomes
The course will be held as an introduction to basic issues connected to an empiric research of pedagogical phenomena (research hypotheses, a research sample, validity, reliability). It will be focused on traditional and less traditional methods and concrete techniques which are used in quantitative and qualitative empiric researches of pedagogical phenomena.
The student is well versed in the methodology field.
Prerequisites
The student is able to separate professional and creative work.

Assessment methods and criteria

Submission of a model empiric research combined with a professional discussion about methodological aspects and also discussing possibilities for a statistical data analysis.
