Course content
Literature is changing; new texts, authors and topics appear; the map of genres is changing. There are also changes in perception and in perspectives of audience. Postgraduates should be able to react to the movement of a literature system, they should participle at the discussion about Czech literary canon (canons of pupils, maturita and Czech studies will be considered).

Learning outcomes
The course is outlined as a complex of thematic lectures and a colloquium. The aim of the course is to consider current perspectives of literature teaching.
The student is able to separate professional and creative work.The student is well versed in the methodology field.
Prerequisites
Postgraduates' knowledge connected to the topic of their dissertation projects should be taken into the consideration form the viewpoint of the discussion about the canons. The seminar will also map definitions of key terms (layers of canon, regional literature, border literature, minority literature etc.).

Active participation at the seminars, active participation at the discussions, to reason conclusively, to introduce and defend his / her own thesis.
