Course content
The literature science, which is more and more often understood as a branch of cultural studies, is changing. It is necessary to consider manners of modification of educational contents for primary and secondary schools; which is the right integration way of a broader sphere of literature culture (among others a position of readership in a society, the relation between literature and popular culture), the relation between literature and media (literature, film adaptations, comics, narration and pictorialims, genres of mass culture and their feedback to the literature etc), changes of aesthetic norms (term of pulp, trivial literature, helpliterature etc.) etc.

The course is outlined as a complex of thematic lectures accompanied with thematic discussions. The aim of the course is to discuss current perspectives of literature teaching.
The student is well versed in the methodology field.
Prerequisites
The student is able to separate professional and creative work.

Assessment methods and criteria

Active participation at the seminars and at the thematic colloquiums (4 a semester), the ability to demonstrate deep theoretical knowledge and creative competence during the discussions aimed at possible applications of theory in practice of literature teaching.
