Course content
1. The inclusion of media in the social context. 2. Journalists - cooperation or conflict? 3. Requirments for performing function of spokesperson. 4. The position of a spokespreson in the structure of interdepartmental relationships. 5. The role of spokesperson in media communictaion. 6. How to adress media. 7. Types and parameters of press release. 8. Creation of print communication - training. 9. Organizing a press conference. 10. Interaction with journalist - an interview. 11. Social manners of a spokesman. 12. Invitation for the media; Crisis communication - responding to media "attack". 13. Evaluation of media outlets.

Learning outcomes
This course introduces students to the interdisciplinary field; the aim of the course is to acquire basic competencies in interaction with members of the media and gain practical orientation in the dynamically developing field of "public relations". Lectures will be supplemented by practical exercises based on the creation of print communication.
Student will acquire basic skills for communicating with the media, he will be acquainted with the method of preparing the press conference, he knows the basic rules of spokesman behaviour in the public can, he can perform confidently and he demonstrates verbal readiness in his own media outlets (in model situations).
Prerequisites
knowledge of the field on the level of GCSE exam knowledge of disciplines connected to the central domain of study knowledge of appropriate terminology
