Course content
1. The importance of culture in speech in spoken news, in the moderator speech in gener different shows and other public speakers. 2. Proper articulation of sounds. 3. Sound features of coherent speech and their adequate implementation. 4. Force, tone, time modulation, modulation of voice timbre. 5. Proper breathing during speech. Breathing exercises. 6. Vocal exercises - vocal flexibility. Articulation exercises. 7. Nonverbal (especially acoustic) features and their importance in communication. 8. Principles of significant recitation. 9. Practising speech. 10. Listen to samples: recitation, spoken news, ceremonial speech, funeral speech, etc. 11. - 12. Exercises. 13. Preparation and presentation of continuous speech (own choice).

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to improve the speaking of students, teach them the right technic of speech, lead them to significant use of prosodic features in different genres of speech.
Student is able to use theoretical knowledge about the technique of speech in practice, he has a significant pronunciation, he uses the prosodic features appropriately to positively influence the listener in the concrete communicative situation.
Prerequisites
knowledge of the field on the level of GCSE exam knowledge of disciplines connected to the central domain of study knowledge of appropriate terminology
