This subject improves elementar skills of Czech literature development in era of 1895 - 1989, which each student achieved on secondary school education. Lectures are focused on interpretation of artistic schools and groups, which were in every single epoch profilated and even these lectures are focused on explanation of elementar terms in according to these era. Explanation of literary history is confrontated by situation in other artistic branches, especially in visual arts. It affiliates events in Czech litearture to events in European literatures and searchs for answers on questions, how many this development of Czech literature were influenced by key-events of modern history.
Students get deeper knowledge of Czech literature history, they will be introduced with basic terms and canonical works of Czech literature of 20th century. They will be introduced with most important literary-historical works, which are focused on this era. They will be able to search relevant informations, to critically appraise it and work with it in case of analysis of concrete artistic and literary work; they get deeper knowledge of sophisticated expression of own opinion and be able to argue for it in formal discussion.
