Course content
1. Media organisation. 2. Reporter´s values. 3. Agenda-setting. 4. News with function of entertainment (infotainment). 5. Elementar journalistic processes - news, extended news. 6. Reporter´s objectivity. 7. Excursion I. - Český rozhlas Sever (Czech radio Sever). 8. Elementar skills of radio news I. (reporting programme). 9. Elementar skills of radio news II. (work with sound). 10. Excursion II - regional TV studio. 11. Elementar skills of TV reporting (work with visual media). 12. Critical theories in media. 13. - 14. Reflection of student´s own work.

Learning outcomes
This subject presents basic medial-science theories of journalistic, including critical media theories. It explains functions of journalistic media, with accent on principles of agenda setting, theory of journalistic values, principles of journalistic objectivity and influence of journalistic routines on medialized contents. At the same time this course offers space and accent on interpretation and analysis of journalistic texts, knowledge of critical reading and controlled discussion even own production and training of elementar journalistic skills.
Students are able to interpretate contents of journalistic text and critically appraise quality of its formal adaptation, they will be introduced with methods of adaptation of sound news, they will be able to orientate themselves in preparation methods of commercial broadcasting of regional radio, even to individually prepare preview of regional broadcast (radio and television).
