Course content
1. Stylistic - style. Basic terminology of this section. 2. Style - language style: language expression. Stylistic process in relation to communication process. 3. Classification of language styles. Concept of functional style. 4. Composition of language expressions and style: stylistic phenomenons of thematical construction and textual segmentation (literary techniques - vertical and horizontal segmentation of text). 5. Stylish differentiation - connected elementar phenomenons. 6. Stylish differentiation of phonetic means. 7. Stylish differentiation of morphological means. 8. Stylish differentiation of lexical and stylistical means. 9. Stylish differentiation of syntactical means. 10. - 13. Description and characteristics of professional style, administrative style. 14. Current development tendencies of Czech stylistics.

Learning outcomes
Purpose of this course is improvement, expansion and systematization of knowledge about phenomenons of linguistic style, developing of skills in case of accented application in process of composition analysis and stylistic analysis of concrete linguistic expressions. Lectures are focused on elementar sphere of current stylistics problematics.
Students get knowledge of professional terminology; he/she is able to classify linguistic acts in case of its functionaly-stylistic orientation; they are able to indentify stylistic indication of selected linugistic mean; even they are able to do stylistic analysis of selected text; they are able to apply theoretical pieces of stylistic knowledge through his/her own creation of texts.

knowledge of the field on the level of GCSE exam knowledge of disciplines connected to the central domain of study knowledge of appropriate terminology
