Learning outcomes
|
This subject is focused on deeper introducing in current journalistic activity and even on practical developing of creativeness and skills of students, including publishing of thein own texts in media. Integral part of this course is even overview of Czech journalism developement since first half of 20th century until novadays.
Students are able to diffentiate media in case of linguistic and non linguistic specifications; to characterise reporting, commented reporting a journalistic and its linguistic means; to provide review of journalistic development with accent on its function in society and its impact on development of language in 20th century; to describe and analyse thematical, compositional and linguistic elements of journalistic and analytical genres; to uncover technics of manipulation in journalistic texts; to argue ethical codes of journalistic work. Student is able to prepare recherches and work with them; to edit text according to linguistic and stylistic criterions, even according to non-linguistic criterions; to do linguistic corrections, to propose proper (codificated) solutions; to bring up new suggestions, to search for updated linguistic expressions; to work up journalistic and reporting texts, cooperate with others as team, work by time limits; to work individually, even under direction.
