Lectures continue in "Selected chapters from foreign literature I" and because of that fact, they are kind of extension subject. We focus our attention to selected Writer´s poetics, to structures of art movements, groups of artists and genres. Selection of topics orients mostly to writers and literary pieces of school canon, but it does not reject an extended con-tent, that deepens context of previous knowledge. Central point of the subject is "newer" literature. During seminar les-sons teacher completes explications with interpretations of selected literary pieces. There is a final written revision at the end of the semester and oral examination (that stands on list of books read by a student).
Student is sectionally oriented in the selected problems of development and changes of european and american literatu-re; he is able to understand the genre traditions, move of the themes and creative processes characteristic for each peri-od. He is being acquainted with the most significant works of world literature and with interpretation of theit meaning; he gains intepretative competency.
