Learning outcomes
The main aim of the shortened seminar is to teach students how to lead a dialog, how to moderate discussion, how to control their own acting and behaviour, how to persuade pupils to use communication during communication situations and how to lead students to get self-knowledge. During seminars students study typology of speakers, non-verbal manifestations as well as parts of non-verbal and extra-lingual communication. Students learn how to use and perceive gestures and facial expressions, how to reveal/understand reasons of communication disorders or troubles. Seminars completed with practical demonstrations focus on practical training of verbal and non-verbal communication in public.
The student is able to speak convincingly, present academic texts, listen to the communication partner, lead discussion, argue effectively, he is able to decipher nonverbal expressions of others, he understands the various types of non-verbal communication and signals, he can think about them and respond to them adequately, he can use nonverbal expressions in practice - in different scenarios, he can control his own behavior in communication, motivate others to act.
