Learning outcomes
|
The subject focuses on getting basic information about children´s and juvenile literature. It presents complex summary of Czech and world-famous writers, of famous literary-pieces for children. It introduces to students genre structure of juvenile and children´s literature and its progress. As an important part of the course, there is an interpretation of selected literary pieces of children´s and juvenile literature. Subject focuses on illustrations in children´s books and their authors, including animated and puppet adaptations of the books of children´s and juvenile literature. Students will learn about famous writers and unique literary pieces of Czech and world literature, that is meant to be read by children readers. During the seminars, students discuss topics connected with reading analyses and interpretation suitable for children and juvenile reader.
Student has basic information about children's literature the in the extent of high school curriculum, its development and important authors writing books for children and youth. Student is familiar with Czech and world literature for children and young people in terms of its development from the 19th century to the present. He has the basic knowledge of literary theory, has an overview of important authors writing books for children and young people and their works. Student is able to reconstruct the model reader of children's literature and adapts the explanation and interpretation of literary texts to it.
