Learning outcomes
|
Lectures and seminars follow the Syntax and Stylistics lessons. They introduce a relatively young linguistic branch to students, a branch that studies text as a result of a speech act, that has (regardless of style or genre of the text) some specific attributes, that are connected with super-sentence subject matter connections and with language realization possibilities. Selected topics should help students to reach better and more complex knowledge of communication in language and its analyses.
Students can: understand the basic concepts of the field; use appropriate terminology, identify the constitutive elements of the text; be aware of the text as a structural unit and as the result of the communication process; comprehensively analyze texts of various kinds, especially factual texts.
