Course content |
1) Opening lecture, characterization of seminar 2) Demarcation of term morphology, morphology as linguistic discipline, relationship of morphology among other philological disciplines. 3) Morphological characterization of Czech language. 4) Word from the morphological point of view and from the other's disciplines point of view. 5) Basic criteria of determination of word classes. Grammatical categories of higher and lower levels. 6-7) Grammatical categories of substantives. 8-9) Grammatical categories of verbs. 10) Flexible word classes. 11) Limit among word classes - overlaps and transitions in word classes. 12-13) Developing tendencies in morphology in present day Czech language. 14) Final lecture.

Learning outcomes |
This discipline includes word classes interpretation, functional and formal morphology. Morphological characterization of Czech language, theory of word classes and function of particular grammatical forms in Czech language are included in lectures.Students are practicing to determine word classes and to use nominal and standard forms.
Student understands the placement of morphology in the system of linguistic disciplines, safely knows czech morphological system in its nature and function, he is able to differentiate variants of flexible speech so that he could pass on hi knowledge and skills to the future students of all types of schools. |
