Learning outcomes
|
Subject follows lectures and seminars of "Introduction to the study of literature" and enroots basic terms and methods of literary science in the age of literary-scientific thinking. Basic terms and methodology are always presented in connection to particular movement or method; traditional approaches (formalism, structuralism, receptive aesthetics etc.) are reflected as well as current paradigms (the theory of possible worlds, new historicism, gender studies etc.). Attention will be devoted even to conceptions which grasp literature in wider cultural and inter-medial connections.
After finishing the seminar student will be able to: understand piece of art in communication process; orient in basic concepts of literary-scientific methodology of 20th century and current problems of literary science; apply literary-scientific terms and methodological bases while interpreting literary texts and explaining wider literary-scientific and cultural features.
