Learning outcomes
|
Purpose of the seminar is to reflect literature in "visual" or "multimedia" cultural context. The term intermedia studies includes interdisciplinary research of mutual relations between arts with a methodological base in literary science of semiotics, it widely uses knowledge from historical arts, aesthetics and wide area of cognitive research. Intermedia approach even brings innovation into the literary science interpretation, it also allows approximate to cognition of assumptions and processes of the art perception work. After completing the subject, student will be able to think about literature in relations to other types of arts and to understand how literature works in broader cultural context.
After finishing the seminar, students are able to: reflect literature in the wider context of other types of arts and in wider cultural context; understand several functions of arts in present days and in history; understand artistic works in the communicative process; apply general theoretical (inter medial) bases in the interpretation of concrete literary works.
