As part of the course, students will be introduced to a basic overview of auxiliary historical sciences, including basic methodological principles, recommended literature, and the history of individual disciplines. The aim is to present this corpus as a whole and to explain their close interrelationship and applicability in historiographic work. Nine disciplines that are traditionally perceived as part of this corpus in Czech historiography will be presented in stages (paleography, diplomatics, sphragistics, heraldry, codicology, epigraphy, genealogy, historical chronology, and metrology).
