Course content
The course will take place outside the standard teaching blocks of the combined study. It will be delivered through a series of sessions that wil outline the basic organizational assumptions of the work and then provide a basic explanation of the exhibition theme itself: 1. Introductory meeting, basic organizational guidelines 2. Exhibition in the archive - theoretical concepts ,3. Urban chronicling in the early modern period 4. Louny in the 15th-19th centuries 5. Discussion on the assignment of specific topics 6. Final form of specific topics Plus individual consultations and preparation of exhibition areas in the premises of the State District Archive Louny

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to prepare a real exhibition that will take plaxe in the State District Archive Louny. The theme of the exhibition will be "Five centuries of chronicling in Louny (15th-19th century)". Students will participate in the preparation of a detailed exhibition concept and the subsequent production of exhibition texts throught specific tasks assigned to them. The exhibition will take place in the summer months of 2024 (i.e. until the end of the summer semester 2023/2024). The aim of each student will be to develop a specific assignment in self-study in consultation with the supervisor and the course tutor.
The student will gain experience in preparing a real exhibition in an archival environment. The student will be able to conduct effective research in sources and literature and to conceive a popular science-oriented text for exhibition banners, and will gain experience in the installation and practical design of an exhibition.
