Learning outcomes
|
In this mandatory elective course, students will learn in detail about the issues of the beginnings of organized file service in the environment of city offices; first in general terms and with a historical excursion into the middle Bohemian court office, and then specifically with how the registration of files was implemented, their sorting according to file plans and storage in the registries of regulated magistrates of royal and municipal cities of the Žatec region.
The student will gain knowledge of the ways in which city magistrates recorded incoming documents and various types of filing registry schemes; and will gain skills to understand the principles of the filing service of city magistrates in the first half of the 19th century.
