Learning outcomes
|
This subject is an extension of Development of Language Skills 1, and its goal is to continue in a program suitable for advanced speakers and users of a foreign language.
At the end of this semester students prove that they are able: - in written communication to create texts which are clear, fluent, complex, and well-formulated, and also to use an appropriate and effective style which would enable the reader of that text to find the important ideas and to further work with these ideas; - to create an oral presentation which is clear, fluentm, and intelligible; and also a presentation which has an effective and logical structure and enables the audience to easily remember and work with the important points of the presentation; - to speak English fluently and with a level of vocabulary which enables students to easily overcome whatever communicative difficulty by paraphrasing and also by being acquainted with other strategies which would allow them to avoid unknown expressions; - to speak with idiomatic and colloquial language.
