Learning outcomes
|
Students learn how to adapt authentic materials for the needs of a specific target group of teenagers. They focus on several types of skills: - Evaluating textbooks and non-authentic materials, identifying the needs of the target group - searching for and evaluating of the authentic materials - techniques of modifying the chosen authentic materials (text, images, audio, video) - creating worksheets and other materials suitable for the target group The supportive e-learning material is available at https://moodle.pf.ujep.cz/
The students can evaluate the teaching materials and textbooks, identify the flaws and needs of the target group, find, modifya nd apply authontic materials for the purpose of teaching English at upper secondary level, and prepare specific set of materials for working woth a heterogeneous class.
