Why should we teach literature and why should literature shape our teaching practice? How to integrate literary texts in the ELT classroom with the aim of increasing the students´ reading (critical reading and analytical reading) skills and improve strategies of teaching literature. Learning outcomes
|
The subject introduces the complexity of relations between language and the society. It introduces clssic as well as Labovian attitudes. Other fields studied are to be language and power, language and age, language and gender.
The students show their ability to use basic terminology, is aware of attitudes in the discipline, can collect data and create a questionnaire.

The student understands basic linguistics.
