Course content
|
The course examines and strengthens the grammatical structures of English, including those which students will continue to use in their studies. It is expected the students will participate in various activities and will work in teams with the goal of solving given problematic tasks. In this way their skills in critical thinking will also develop. Student output will be within the C1 language level within the areas of reading, listening, and grammar as outlined in the Common European framework for languages. Student ouput will be evaluated on and individual basis as well in teams, and these two evaluations, which will be conducted both formally and informally, become a part of the class work for the whole semester.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of this subject is to further develop communicative skills and other skills of students in this major, especially skills such as reading and listening. The students will develop the skills over the course of the entire semester through reading and listening to a variety of texts and recordings at an advanced level which will accord with their study progam and in the interests and needs of the students.
Proven knowledge and skills: - strengthening language skill gained in bachelor's studies - perfecting fluency of expression in professional themes - ability to clearly organize written presentations - strengthening abilities to relate gained skills - keeping a high level of grammatical exactitude, students rarely make mistakes - ability to understand and critically interpret a large amount of written texts - students understand the spoken language of native speakers without difficulty
