Learning outcomes
The aim of the practice is to connect theoretical disciplines with practice; to practice teaching skills with a focus on schools and specific features of primary education. Ongoing Pedagogical Practice follows the course Practicum of Primary School Didactics (2 / ST summer term). The first part of the practice will take place regularly at the appointed day during the whole summer term at the primary school in Ústí nad Labem (a faculty school). Students gather experience based on observing a practice teacher during the summer term and by implementing them into their own lesson planing and actual teaching. The aim of Ongoing Pedagogical Practice is to gain practical skills under the guidance of a practice teacher with a focus on the specifics of primary education. In the course of practice, students will sit in classes and they will lead their own classes under the supervision of a practice teacher. Their work includes the initial introduction to the work of teachers, the organization of educational work, with teaching and other documentation and they will obtain basic teaching skills while working with the pupils. Students will observe specified didactic situations of previously selected, experienced teacher. The aim of this is to set the basis for appropriate educational and psychological attitudes towards children and to acquire basic methodological approaches in connection with general didactics and evolutionary psychology. Students will be presented the organization and preparation of educational activities and pedagogical documentation. They will become familiar with the Primary School system and its pedagogical documentation and with after-school club activities. The second part of this practice is being present on the school enrollment to the 1st grades of primary school. This is connected to the practice in the 1st grade of primary school. Student will help with organizing the enrollment for primary school in Ústí nad Labem and so gather the information about the verification of school maturity.
