The aim of Assistant Practice is to acquire teaching skills under the supervision of a teacher trainer with a focus on the primary education specifics. The Assistant Practice is held at a primary school in the 2nd and 5th classes. Students will work as an assistant teacher. Their work includes the initial introduction to the work of teachers, the organization of educational work, with teaching and other documentation and they will obtain basic teaching skills while working with the pupils. Students will sit in classes and they will lead their own classes. They will keep a pedagogical journal for a whole study period. The aim of this is to set the basis for appropriate educational and psychological attitudes towards children and to acquire basic methodological approaches in connection with general didactics and evolutionary psychology. Students will be presented the organization and preparation of educational activities and pedagogical documentation. They will become familiar with the Primary School system and its pedagogical documentation and with after-school club activities.
