Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to develop the complete basics of general language and to introduce students to general professional language by expanding vocabulary and developing the skills needed to read simple professional texts. The student - graduate of the course should succeed in communication in simple non-specific professional situations. In addition, students are able to respond to everyday topics in a regular conversation, initiate and develop a conversation, and are able to easily comment on everyday situations in a foreign language.
Students are able to use the language on language level A1 CERF.
Prerequisites
Students are able to use the language on language level A1 CERF. Upon entering the course, students must be aware of the essential characteristic of the English language (as compared to their mother tongue) and be familiar with basic language tools (English alphabet, basic pronunciation rules, pronouns and frequently used verbs, etc.) https://tracktest.eu/cz/urovne-jazyka/

- attendance 70% - final test (or three partial tests) - activity during language exercises - independent preparation for teaching - timely submission of all assigned tasks - ability to orient in the English system and in the English verb functions on the background of the Czech language - acquisition of vocabulary within the given topics - the ability to express oneself in time using past, present and "will" tenses in simple / continuous aspect - ability to create a simple question and negative in all "basic" grammatical tenses (in both forms) - ability to present one's own motivation, studies, career and plans for the future (in writing and orally) English
