Course content
Student will focus on specific field and professional vocabulary strictly oriented to the field studied. The topics for study also correspond to this. The course provides for independent student preparation. Topics: School integration of pupils with disabilities Special pedagogical diagnostics Disability issues Combined disabilities of individuals Structure of schools and facilities for the mentally retarded Integration of the mentally retarded Sensory and intellectual education of retarded individuals Delinquency Behavioral disorders Diagnosis of behavioral disorders The social threat to individuals Pupil education as a special pedagogical problem

Learning outcomes
To be able to communicate about topics and issues specifically connected to the field of study.
Students are able to use the language to express themselves and to discuss topics concerning their field of study as well as professional focus. Studets are able to present a research article.
Prerequisites
The course builds on the previous course Foreign Language II and deepens knowledge of professional language.

Assessment methods and criteria

The student is able to talk about the chosen professional topic in the field of special pedagogy, uses the appropriate vocabulary. The student is able to create a discourse within a professional topic, can express their attitudes, ideas, find a given situation for and against. The student is able to work with professional text, can find relevant information and work with them.
