Key learning outcomes Graduates will obtain a proper teaching qualification in teaching English at the first and second levels of primary schools, including the qualification for teaching in other types of schools and language courses. Graduates will also be ready, after the successful completion of the Master's program, to seek admission to study at another university that has or will have an appropriately accredited doctoral program for the study of the theory of teaching English. Students will also be able to apply their skills in finding other opportunities to study, including studying abroad. Objectives within the fields of pedagogy and psychology are characterized by an ability to apply knowledge and skills gained in the study of the pedagogical and psychological disciplines in order to enable graduates to competently lead and manage the educational processes in secondary education. By this is meant a complex of knowledge as well as intellectual and practical skills in the fields of pedagogy, psychology, and special education. Objectives in the major fields: - maintaining and strengthening a professional knowledge of the English language at the level of "Proficiency" (according to the reference framework of the EU concerning the level of an experienced speaker at the C1 and C2 levels); - the acquisition of teaching skills in the field of English language teaching; - the acquisition of management skills in the classroom while teaching English; - the development of the ability to deal with action research and to reflect on experience; - the ability to identify styles of teaching a foreign language; - the promotion of knowledge of basic socio-cultural information and the ability to teach it; - the develpment of intercultural attitudes and skills; - the expansion of knowledge in the field of literature and the ability to develop pupils' aesthetic perceptions; - an excellent understanding of the processes of testing, assessment, and evaluation; the development of the ability to work with these resources in the teaching of English; - the development of the ability to expand various mental operations and critical theory; - the development of an ability to cope with an individual approach to various types of students with different abilities and ages; - the development of the ability to coordinate work in groups and pairs; - the development of the ability to manage project activities, and cooperative and collaborative teaching methods; - the development of the ability to support the growth of creativity (school drama, work in school clubs and hobby groups); - the development of reflective and self-reflective skills, and the management of activities that develop reflective teaching.
