Within the course, students are involved in a large-scale project or several smaller-scale projects. The project objectives result from internal needs or interests of the institution or from cooperation with companies or public administration (contract/applied research projects). Students participate in the solution as members of project teams, developing their teamwork, communication, presentation and organizational competences. Projects typically focus on data processing, analysis and visualization or on mathematical modeling and simulation.
