Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to enlarge and deepen the knowledge of students in two classical parts of algebra - Group Theory and Ring Theory. The following topics will be dealt with: permutations, groups of residue classes, subgroups, products of groups, Lagrange Theorem, homomorphisms of groups, factorgroups, subrings, homomorphisms of rings, polynomials, roots of polynomials, polynomials over the field of complex numbers, polynomials over the rings R, Q and Z, ideals, factorrings, extensions of fields. In this way, necessary notions will be introduced and corresponding assertions will be proved which will lead to two main goals of the course, namely to the formulation and proof of the complete description of all finite commutative groups as well as the complete description of all finite fields.

Prerequisites
Teaching in English is meant only for erasmus and foreign students. In the case of a small number of students is teaching in a form of individual consultations.
