1) Introduction to the BASH shell, help, history 2) Users and groups management, permisions 3) Introduction to linux filesystem, directories, files, links 4) Linux process management, signals 5) Tools for text processing 6-7) Regular expression (grep, sed) 8-10)Introduction to the BASH scripting 11) System utils 12-13) Introduction to system configuration, mounting, network configuration etc.

Learning outcomes
|
This course is designed for students with minimal experince with UNIX/Linux systems, but students are assumed to have some prior experience with computers. The topics covered in this course are introduction to UNIX, working with shells, using system tools, file compression and decompression, ssh, scp etc.

Prerequisites
|
Teaching in English is meant only for erasmus and foreign students. In the case of a small number of students is teaching in a form of individual consultations.
