Course content
The professional training is preferably realized at the workplaces with which the department of informatics cooperates on a long-term basis, within the cooperation projects (including contract research projects). The training can be linked with a project seminar, which takes place in both semesters of the final year (within the project seminar a group of students can cooperate on a project, part of which is prepared within the practice). The internship can be realized after the end of the teaching in the summer semester of the second year of study. The minimum length of the professional training in weeks is 12, in hours 480. The basic model for the completion of the internship is 4 days per week for 8 hours for 15 weeks in a row, with the first 13 weeks being included in the teaching weeks of the fifth semester (in which teaching is scheduled for only one free day per week and is therefore often blocked) and the remaining 2 weeks in the follow-up examination period. A different distribution of professional practice is acceptable, as long as it maintains the required minimum scope and does not overlap with other direct teaching. Another supported model of professional practice takes the form of a work placement abroad within the framework of an Erasmus+ or other cross-border project of a minimum duration of 12 weeks.
