Learning outcomes |
An introductory course of thermal physics. In the first part of the course students obtain basic knowledge on thermodynamic description of systems in thermodynamic equilibrium, learn the meaning of fundamental thermodynamic quantities and learn to analyse simple systems, equilibrium processes with ideal gases and phase transitions. The second part of the course is devoted to the fundamentals of the kinetic theory of ideal gases.
