The aim of the course is to introduce students to the fundamental principles of catalysis, the interpretation of catalytic reaction mechanisms with a focus on heterogeneous and homogeneous catalysts. The course also covers essential methods for catalyst characterisation, catalyst testing, research and development techniques for catalysts, and procedures for catalyst preparation and production.
