Course content
1. The didactics of chemistry, the subject, the instrumental sciences, the chemical information science, the structure. The historical development of didactics of chemistry in the Czech Republic. 2. The position of chemistry at schools in past and present days. The content of chemistry teaching at primary and high schools. The pedagogical documents. The goals of chemistry teaching, cross-curricular references. RVP, ŠVP. 3. Materially-technical background of the chemistry teaching. 4. Teaching aids of the chemistry teaching. Simulation. 5. Chemical experiment. The usage of multimedial didactic aids in chemistry. 6. The forms of the chemistry teaching. Spare-time activities in chemistry. 7. Teaching methods in chemistry focusing on the activating methods. 8. The results determination of chemistry teaching process. Diagnostical methods usable in chemistry. 9. The responsibility of the chemistry teacher. The labour protection in chemistry. 10. The Didactics of chemical terminology. 11. The Didactics of chemical calculation.

Learning outcomes
The subject deals with the matters of the general didactics of chemistry and also the parts concerning the special didactics of chemistry. The lectures are focused on students studying the pedagogy of chemistry teaching for primary and high schools. The content of the lectures is connected with the students' theoretical knowledge, both the psychological and pedagogical area and the knowledge of the main important chemical subjects such as: general chemistry, inorganic and physical chemistry, organic and analytical chemistry, biochemistry. The aim of these lectures is to give the aforesaid knowledge together in the way the students would be able to fulfil their professional commission in conformity with the basic didactics principles.
