Course content |
This course provides an insight workings of the law, common legislative requirements, and enforcement mechanisms (liability, the environmental protection act, the environment act, waste management, packaging waste, water pollution, oil storage, environmental monitoring, the regulators.) The most recent legislation regarding the protection of wildlife. The principle legislation regarding the implementation of CITES in EU and Czech Republic. Seminar discussion about the framework legislation for the implementation of CITES in the Czech Rebulbic. Act. No. 1000/2004 Coll. on the protection of Species of Wild Fauna and Flora by regulating trade therein and on further measures for protection of these species and on amendment of several acts ( act on Trade in Endangered Species). The Act on Trade in Endangered Species also provides for some further measures that go beyond EC legislation such as the registration of certain specimens.
