Course content
Course main topics: " Computer and laboratory hardware - structure, instalation and control by appropriete software. " Operating system MS Windows - security, software (instaling/uninstaling), basic settings, virtual printers. " Internet - comunication, bibliographic databases and scientific search engines on internet. " Digital data - processing and storage (mainly pdf and pictures), use of reference managers. " MS Office applications - basic skils for collecting, processing and presenting data in biology research.

The main goal of the course is to provide students advanced skils of data analysis with scientific software. Apart from data analysis, students will learn what is bioinformatics and ist importance in biological sciences.
