Learning outcomes
We will learn basic terms that are commonly used in biology of behavior. We will understand basic or so called classical principles of the behavior and both modern and traditional approaches. The approach of Ehology - the biology of behavior is 1) to understand how the biology principles form and influence behavior. More, we will learn to divide and predict behavior in dependence on basic ethological principles. In addition, we will able to discern some of markers of concrete behavior.
The student will understand basic terms, principles and approaches in biology of behavior as named in textooks Alcock,J. 2001. Animal Behavior. seventh edn. Sunderland: Sinauer Associates, inc. and Manning,A. & Dawkins,M.S. 2009. An Introduction To Animal Behavior. fifth edn. New York: Cambridge University Press.The student will be able to use the basic terms. He/she will be able to explain basic principles.
Prerequisites
There is no preceding course wanted. Students are expected to read and fully understand text in basic ethological textbooks named above. They are expected to name the terms in English. They are expected to explain terms described in the textbooks during exam in English Teaching in English is meant only for erasmus and foreign students. In the case of a small number of students is teaching in a form of individual consultations.

The students must be able to use terms as described in the textbooks. They must be able to explain what the terms mean. In addition, they must be able explain basic principles of behavior (based on the textbooks)
