Learning outcomes |
Biology education is in this time inconceivable without using computer-mediated simulations program in school biology. The aim of this course is to present principles of teaching, cognitive tools, didactic contents transformation and interactive tasks assotiated with computer-mediated teaching. The selective use of computers in biological teaching can enhance teaching qality, both in terms of the amount a student learns, and in the insights and experience of problem-solving that one gains. The use of computers has the benefit of providing feedback at a speed impossible if marked by staff. This allows to provide the large numer of students with guidance as to whether they have grasped the material at hand and where they need extra effort. Many of topical biology computing programs will be demonstrated.
