Learning outcomes
The course gives a solid overview of the development of the Czech visual art from the 90's of the 19th century until 1948. It observes painting, sculpture, architecture but also photography and applied arts, whereas it pays attention to the key figures and profound explanation of their expression. It shows the art tendencies in contexts of the European art environment and the newest interpretations/information about the followed topic. A part of the seminar is the visits to the permanent exhibitions of public institutions and thematically related exhibitions. The lectures of artists and professionals are recommended to students.
