We understand the interpretation of visual culture as a creative accomplishment of an interpreter. Cultural anthropology studying models of human behavior has participated on this point of view in the 20th century, that's the reason why this is an interdisciplinary course which involves semantics and semiotics. This approach to interpretation is theoretically embedded in the intersubjective Goodman's terminology of denotation, exemplification and expression, and in the artephiletic subjective components of experience. As a method, the conceptual analysis is theoretically embodied in terminology and practiced afterwards. The course explains interpretational diffusion and examines the meaning in visual culture and how it is constructed by the author and deconstructed by the spectator. The seminar work (6 pages) and the project contain the analysis of a chosen art work or strategy, fixed and commented dialogue above the art creation and the design of creation which is not descriptive. It analyzes the strategies of surface media, especially painting, in the first term.
